Emergency Response Training for the Inclusive Community
Landon's Legacy Foundation, in partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona, provided CPR/AED certification and Seizure Recognition and First Aid training for 71 family members, friends, and caregivers of those in the special needs and rare diseases community for free. The event provided hands-on, comprehensive training in these essential lifesaving skills, empowering participants to respond effectively in emergency situations. This direct, practical education built confidence and competence among community members. Landon's Legacy will continue to support the community by offering this event. Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome Family and Professional Conference
The Landon’s Legacy Foundation had a booth in the exhibit Hall during the conference, which took place in Phoenix, AZ, and interacted with many of the 350 attendees. We saw moms and dads, siblings, grandparents, and other caregivers learning and exchanging support throughout the conference.
A highlight was hearing Dr. Julie Lazzara speaking Friday morning on 'Understanding the Emotional Journey of Families.' Julie shared her, Mark, and Callie’s journey with Landon through uncertain diagnoses, medication ups and downs, surgeries and hospitalizations. And through it all, how Landon’s life was a gift and drove their desire to make a difference through the work of the Landon’s Legacy Foundation.
